Turn off the Office 2000 Clipboard
To turn off the Office clipboard, you must add a value to your registry
file. To make this change you can download the file below to your computer
or edit the registry directly using RegEdit.
IMPORTANT: Make sure you backup your registry and/or computer before
performing this modification!
Download the file
- Click here to download the file: TurnOffOffice2000Clipboard.reg
- Save the file on your desktop.
- When the download is finished, double-click on the file to install the new
key into the registry.
To edit the registry using RegEdit:
- Click the Start button and click Run.
- Type "regedit" and then click Open.
- Go to the following key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\9.0\Common\General
- From the menu, choose Edit:New:DWORD.
- Rename New Value #1 to AcbControl
- Highlight AcbControl and from the Edit menu, choose Modify.
- Change the value from 0 to 1 and hit OK.
- Exit the registry.
